The Jonakii Foundation is a multidisciplinary collective of mental health professionals, practitioners, counselors, and community advocates dedicated to transforming mental health accessibility, campus safety, and emotional resilience across West Bengal. Operating across higher education campuses, secondary schools, workplaces, care homes, and underserved rural communities, Jonakii delivers structured stress management workshops, educator capacity building, free mental health camps, individual counseling drives, and campus anti-ragging initiatives.

A. Student Stress Management Workshops: Jonakii conducts structured, interactive psychological workshops tailored for students in middle school, secondary, higher secondary (Class 6 to 12), and higher education.
Themes: Academic stress management, exam anxiety, peer dynamics, emotional self-regulation, and adolescent identity.
Facilitators: Deploying dedicated teams of 6 to 12 trained facilitators per workshop to maintain low facilitator-to-student ratios, ensuring psychological safety.
Coverage: Conducted across key West Bengal districts including Kolkata, Howrah, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Bardhaman, and Birbhum.
B. Educator Capacity Building & Teacher Training: Recognizing teachers as primary gatekeepers for student well-being, Jonakii designs specialized workshops for educators, Head teachers, and administrative school staff.
- Focus: Early detection of adolescent psychological distress, burnout prevention, empathetic classroom management, and crisis referral pathways.
- Impact: Multi-day teacher training workshops conducted for Head teachers and school staff across district centers (Nadia, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Kolkata), training over 110+ educators.
C. Grassroots Rural & Community Outreach Camps: Jonakii extends mental health care beyond urban centers into geographically vulnerable, climate-affected, and socio-economically marginalized regions.
- Island & Coastal Outreach: Ground-level awareness drives and mental health camps in Gangasagar, Nimpith, Kultali, Companychar, and Bamankhali within the Sundarbans belt.

E. Mass Individual Counselling Drives & Dedicated Support Centers:
- Mass Drives: Individual counseling drives conducted by teams of more than 10 facilitators. During drives in Dum Dum and Garia, each facilitator conducts individual counseling for an average of 4 individuals over 5 hours.
- Dedicated Centre: Operating Jonakii’s permanent counseling center at Ganguly Bagan (Kolkata), providing consistent individual psychotherapy, psychometric screening, and long-term care.
F. Higher Education Campus Safety & Anti-Ragging Campaigns:
- Executing institution-wide Anti-Ragging and Mental Health Awareness Campaigns across university departments to foster harassment-free campus environments and student support networks.
